Proactive Investors Wednesday, 12 February 2020 ()
Mali Lithium Ltd (ASX:MLL) has received more positive results after completing a resource drilling program at its flagship Goulamina Lithium Project in southern Mali. Drilling comprised 41 reverse circulation (RC) holes for 7315 metres with 830 assays received of the 3,220 submitted to date. Latest assays have returned additional wide, high-grade intersections from the Sangar I and II spodumene pegmatites including 49 metres at 1.82% lithium oxide from 115 metres. Notably, drilling discovered a new spodumene pegmatite at the Bara prospect 1.2 kilometres south of Danaya. Assay results will continue to flow until mid-March 2020 with a resource update scheduled for the end of March 2020 and an Ore Reserve update with the DFS in May 2020. Results highlights from the recent assay batch include: 25 metres at 1.97% Li2O from 134 metres; 52 metres at 1.44% Li2O from 155 metres;  49 metres at 1.82% Li2O from 115 etres; and 34 metres at 1.81% Li2O from 136 metres. Lithium intersected below concept pit floor Mali Lithium’s managing director Chris Evans said: “The recent drilling program is now complete and has yielded strong results. “The intersection of Li20 below the existing conceptual pit floor and outside the existing resource shell is particularly exciting and supports the company’s belief that substantial resource upside exists. “The discovery of spodumene-bearing wide pegmatite intersections at the Bara prospect also highlights the prospectivity of our tenement package. “We look forward to reporting the results in full to the market once assays are received and incorporating other positive results from recent drilling in the pending resource and reserve updates.”
